Mine gets like that mid summer if I water heavily. Luckily right now I'm only having to mow weekly!

SCORE!

Been getting bored watching the lift parts trickle in... still waiting on the rear leafs... so i decided to do some shopping for the wheels & tires.

Ended up with 30" BFG A/T Ko's for $500 mounted & balanced, and Cragar Soft 8's (black of course) for $184 shipped for all four. Black lug nuts for $16 & black center caps for $22.

Its amazing how much tire shops will budge when you play hard to get!

Now, the hard question.. white letters in or out?? I am thinking out!

(thanks for putting up with me & my stoked-ismness)

There are only two reasons to put the letters 'in'....

If you are gonna off-road heavily, where rocks and other obstacles are going to ding the white letters. (The edges will start to fray and they look like crap.)

If you buy no-name tires. Then you should be embarassed to put 'em 'out'!

I've got the letters 'out' on my Super Duty as I don't wheel it hard enough to worry about it. (I'm more concerned about dragging the letters up against a curb somewhere!) I'm going to put the letters out on my van... someday... when I get to that point(!) My Bronco has them 'in' and the next set of tires will be the same as this one was bought to USE.

I'm with you Smilie, black out. It's very rare for me to see white out and think, "That looks really good."

We now have plumbing! One of our pains has been toting around a 5 gallon water jug for our use & to keep the mutts watered. Filling it, strapping it down somewhere & then unloading it onto tables etc. once we park somewhere for the night... CHANGED ALL THAT!

Puts out like 20 ounces in a single pump! When the spigot is on, it shoots outside the rear doors so no mess ever!

Image

I was stoked to get it to fit so that it allows plenty of room still to sleep us & the dogs, I fit laid down with ease between the box & drivers seat. I plan to make some sort of elastic cord storage on the side for stuff too!

Image

Easy to take out.

Instead of blocking the accesory outlet, I decided to incorporate it... and damn do stupid things like that ad tons of steps!!

nice mod, almost looks like a factory option! the older vans had insulation of sorts and a drain plug in the little compartments on each side of the wheel wells so they could act as coolers, may be a mod you wanna look into...
99 SLT Safari AWD, G80/GT4 rear, Burgundy, 196,000 and counting (strictly AMSOIL) flowmaster 40series muffler no more cat, K&N Kone Filter, roll pan, 255/60/15 rubbers mounted to 15x8.5 inch American Racing Tailgunner wheels, billet grille, CB Radio, Alpine Deck, Shag carpet, the list goes on....
03 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, LB7 Duramax Diesel, 5 speed Allison Tranny, Crew Cab Long Bed, no muffler or cat, 4 inch turbo back and side piped. not too many other mods yet, also addicted to AMSOIL.

Well, decided to pull the trigger on the false floor beds before the 5 week trip. I shocked myself that they came out half decent! Very comfy! No loss of real space, if anything it brought the dogs higher off the floor to cram their noses through the tilt windows! I can remove the entire setup in 2 minutes if i ever need the cargo space. Of course she's now a two seat rig.

About $160 in materials (or one night in a nice hotel!)
1400 staples! (overkill i'm sure!)

The only drawback is I have enough leftover plywood & carpet, I am feeling compelled to redo my wire rack setup with cabinets... hmm.

She's all growed up now!!!

Need to crank the front end a bit more to level her off & just a bit more wheel well trimming. So stoked!! Even more stoked that I realized today that my beds double perfectly as a couch!!! She is now officially our mini-sportsmobile, aka GHETTOBAGO! Thanks for being stoked with me on this project too guys! And thanks for the PM's about the techy stuff!
