HELP HELP!!!!! steering column 96

Post by fasted48 »

This will be my third counting original column. Shifter was always very hard to move on first and second column, would it be the cable too tranny causing this issue. I priced a new cable at chevy dealer $125. Is this a special cable or can i adapt another cable. or bone yard cable?? I have another column but want this to right this time. This is my daughters astro, she has mine and i want it back sooner then later, she's really a wrecking ball on vehicles. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Salvage yard is your best bet. Before you install it load it up with LockEze. It's a graphite lube. Pour it in one end until it pours out the other. You'll never have to replace it again. Old motorcycle trick. \:D/
