Alarm System where to connect to parking lights

Post by dnwong »

I am trying to install a alarm system on an 95 Astro. I need to hookup to the parking lights to blink when arm and disarming.

Does anyone know where specifically I can tap into to achieve this. Do I need a relay? thanks

It kind of depends on where you are mounting the control unit but you can tap into any wire that goes to any parking lamp. For example, I mounted my control unit in the overhead console. The closest wire for me was the one that supplies the rear lights because that wire runs in the harness along the roof on the driver's side. So I spliced into that wire and now all four marker lights blink when locking and unlocking.

Now, If I could just get the door locks to work everything would be super......
