Safari 2WD Van?
My wife wants to do a V8 swap now...we are getting her lift kit done tomorrow and I Will put up pics soon as well. We are looking for a V8 swap that is newer, reliable, easy and most of all affordable. I saw that the 1996 -2003 Vortec 350/5.7L might be a wise choice. Anyone have links to where I can buy this engine and what parts would I need. Any other suggestions on what other motor to put in this? Thanks

The wife sounds like a keeper. Look around the site. There's a bunch of info on what you want to do. I think you'll find all the answers.

Yeah Joe............ebay engines, not so much.Be very careful there.Buy a rear crash donor V8 vehicle so you can get the wiring harness and computer and any other parts you need.Better looking local maybe CL and hopefully you could hear it run.Take your time finding what you need.A deal will come your way all in due time.Sometimes buying the first thing you see could be your first mistake.......

Try www.car-part.com for an engine too. You may be surprised. The wiring could be a bit difficult if its your first go, the Vortec engine is a good choice and will provide significant gains compared to stock.
