Just got a 2003 awd and the 4 beam is new to me I have not tinkered with them yet There is a signeficant amount of water droplets in them I see there are some clips holding them together should I split them in half and clean them? Put them back together with some plumbers putty? Or should I just remove them and dry them out with a heat gun? Any tips?

There's an EXCELLENT article (Foggy, Foggy Nights, pg 94) in the latest PM magazine (August 2010), now on the shelves, on just this very subject. For some reason, that article isn't on-line, so it will require you to pry open the vault known as a wallet and purchase the magazine.

I think there is a vent tube on the back side of the headlights that should allow the moisture to evaporate. You can't separate the lens from the housing...or at least I don't think so. Not sure how else you get the moisture out.
