Where to buy discounted engine rebuild kits.

I'm rebuilding my 97 4.3L engine. The parts are starting to come back from the machine shop. And I can't fine that many places that sells discount 4.3L engine rebuild kits. Does anyone know of any good web site to fine the rebuild kits? I want quality parts.

Use name brand, not cheap knock off junk. You could compare Rock Auto, Napa, and the usuals, like autozone and look on Ebay. Just make sure you are getting the same thing from each, like maybe find a specific kit and see who has it.

Ask your machine shop.

I stay away from kits and buy the individual parts from reputable manufacturers, like fel-pro gaskets, TRW (or KB) pistons, clevite bearings, etc.

Everyone will have different opinions, I'm looking forward to following this thread. I'm sure I'll learn something!
