Hello from Los angeles

Post by Supersport »

Hello! Looks like a cool site! My beast of burden is a 99' Cargo, work/personal, w/ 140K. Not a lot of mods. Volant CAI to let it in and a Flowmaster to let it out. A little adjustment with a Jet Programmer and thats about it. Just another white cargo.

Welcome to the site!
Mbarky, flowmasters are loud. I got rid of my slowmaster. the drone at 55 mph in the cabin was deafening. If you don't mind not hearing your radio and having to yell to have a conversation, hook one up,
'89 Astro, 4.3L, TBI. Minor intake and exhaust mods. Rebuilt 700R4 trans (by me). Corvette servo, 0.5" boost valve, police grade 1-2 accumulator spring (shifts fast and solid). B&M stacked plate trans cooler. Bilstein shocks. Belltech sway bars front and back. New head unit, speakers and subwoofer. Needs paint and a new headliner.

name's Steve
I can't remember all I've forgotten about that....

Hey Mrbarky, I like it. Its a Flowmaster 40 series. Yeah, it can be a little loud in the morning when its cold, but the drone doesnt bother me. Since I'm in California, I have to have a Cat, which I'm told will mellow it out the sound a little. I also went and welded on a resonator tip, which helped also. Flowmaster has a quieter 50 series. My trans guy has one on his S-10, it is definitely a little more mellow.

Welcome bro, I`m also in LA, SGV and I run a flowmaster 40 with my V8. Sounds much more throaty and Macho than my old Magnaflow muffler.

Beachin! A Local ! What kind of drama do we have to go through in Peoples Republic of California to swap a V8 and still pass smog? All of the swaps Ive seen have been out of CA.
