I just got done installing my rebuilt 4.3L engine. The engine started right up on the first try. I let the engine Idle for about 20 minutes. Then I shut it down. waited for about another 10 minutes and the engine started right up again. Then I increased the RPMs and the engine responded real nice and smooth.Everything seem fine I had good oil pressures. The engine sound really good no tapping noise was heard.

So now I started closing everything up reinstalled engine cover and dash. Then I go to start the engine and now it won,t start. It just cranks on the starter. I have no codes

I need help badly I'm getting tied of these project. Where to start?

Thanks

Remove the engine cover and inspect the area.

Try starting it again.

I agree, remove the cover and look for pinched or disconnected wires. Check the spark plug wires closely.

Sounds like the wire coming out of the 'coil' or whatever they call it now needs to be checked.
It is not very big or rugged but without it the engine won't start.
I know, cause I hit a railroad crossing that was so bad, it broke that connection...

Reminds me of the time I was on my way to a NECO event with the SPB and the wood trailer and the van just shut off. Found the coil wire off as well. :supz:

FYI I found the problem. It was the ground wire from the negative lead of the battery to the body ground lead was loose. Tighten connection and haven't had a prblem since.

Thanks everyone for your help.
