Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires

Although these tires were not purchased for an Astro/Safari van, there application for those wanting an A.T tire for their van is close enough, the only other thing to mention is that these are a Goodyear tire made specifically for Canadian Tire, they are not available thru other retailers or Goodyear itself.

Goodyear Wrangler Territory LT 225/75R/16 E load rating, with the Little snowflake & Mtn symbol, 18/32 tread depth 10ply ( 8 tread 2 sidewall )

As these are only available thru C.T there are no reviews thru places like tirerack or 1010tire, I had to rely on the C.T site reviews http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4 ... ?locale=en and what I could find out in cyberspace which was mostly from a guy outwest who had them on his Patriot http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16805

I've driven them for about 60 miles so far and the obvious difference so far is a little noise at slower speeds under 30km but at hwy its barely noticeable, tomorrow I'll put a few more km's on them going to work and might even find some dirt or mud :D ..
For my size they were reg around $200 Cnd but on sale for $157. With the crappy weather approaching I needed to ditch my old slicks and jump on the 1st decent sale that provided what I needed, hopefully these will be it. I'll update over the winter.

I saw these too. Good deal. Shame they don't make 'em in 30x9.5 because I would buy them too.

They should work great for you. I saw a set of those on a truck this summer around our place. They look great and the severe snow rating means they'll go great in the snow.

i got a set for my ram a month ago. $300 to $500 cheaper than anything else (thats taxes/installed). i haven't had them up in the snow yet (fuel pump is acting up, don't trust it) but they should be better than the highway tires that were on it.

I went to buy these last week at CT and they are sold out nation wide and on an unknown time frame backorder on the LT rated 235's and 31's.
So I'm going with the DuraTracs

I have a set of those.
I saw them on sale at CT a long time ago for 124.99 a piece 235/75-15.
Plus got the deal with them, buy 4 tires get a 1/2 price alignment.
I haven't put more than about 300 miles on them since though.

So, AstroZam,
How are you liking these tires so far?
I'm hoping to actually drive on mine this spring when I get the 4x4 insured.

Love them, great in snow, gravel, wet roads, plus they look pretty good, got somewhere around 12,000km on them so far and they seem to be wearing well.

My friend just put a set of Duratracs these on his pickup, and the smaller tread elements down the centre are packed with stones.

My spare wheel has Wrangler rubber on it (can't remember model), and it makes a big racket when I have it on because it flings rocks up into the wheel well. [-(

I used to run BFG AT TA/KO's and they were quiet as a mouse. They self-cleaned very well and didn't retain rocks. (mud is a different story).

In fact I had the BFG's on at the same time as the Wrangler spare, going down a gravel road, and it was the only noisy corner.
