Range Rover Wheels on Astro?

Post by capulet_x »

I'm posting this to inquire if anyone has ever heard of anyone running Range Rover wheels on an Astro van with a wheel adapter. I've heard the arguments against using wheel adapters but the Wheel options are so terribly limited for the Astro van. I had been looking fro a nice mesh wheel for a while for example:

or

but I am at a complete loss. Since there appears to be no standardized measurement for wheel strength I have been trying to find wheels from other trucks or SUVs that will help me take my van to another level and escape the gravity of looking like every other Astro van.
As always suggestions are welcomed.

Really don't think the "mesh" wheels would look right on an Astro, but I digress.

I haven't seen anyone with Rover rims, but I have seen Jeep JK Wrangler rims done with spacers.

This thread list the vehicles that had matching bolt patterns.

Just plugging in the 5x5 pattern into Summit Racing's site returns over 3000 possible rim/size/width combinations that should fit on the Astro.

I think the KMC XD Addict rims would look pretty sweet on an Astro.

This site will let you see what a bunch of different aftermarket rims would look like on your van.

Sure, there are pro's/con's to wheel spacer/adapters...me personally? I wouldn't hesitate to run quality spacers if needed. Quality being the key word there.
IMHO...as long as you go with a 5 x 4 3/4"(5 x 120) or bigger bolt circle...it should be up to the task of the average street van.
Looking up 5 x 120mm bolt patterns gives you LOTS of wheel styles...and what you want is as much offset as possible so you can fine tune with your choice of spacer thickness.

Read every thread you can find on rim fitment. The info is there.
