Forum section sbeing broke down into sub-forums
As has been suggested, I am going to start breaking down the forums into sub-forums to try and better organize all the threads we have. I will post up my suggestion and welcome any comments. I am really only looking at modifying the Van Maint. Forum. The rest are ok as they are. Along with this I am also looking for new Moderators to replace members who are not active anymore.

Hey Dean,
Just a suggestion. Under "Drivetrain" add Driveshafts. Under "Chassis" add Body lifts.

Re: Forum section sbeing broke down into sub-forums
Added drive shafts under drivetrain and added lift kits to off-road. How does that work?

Re: Forum section sbeing broke down into sub-forums
I like it.
Perhaps the main INTERIOR/EXTERIOR section could be changed just to BODY?
And maybe axles and shafts could be combined since they're pretty close, and shafts by itself won't get many posts. It's only a suggestion.

Re: Forum section sbeing broke down into sub-forums
Gotta have a subforum for camperization!
And what do you guys think about merging the LOUNGE and DISCUSSION FORUMS ... they're both along the same lines.
Then you could merge ADMINISTRATION/SITE ISSUES and FORUM INFO/UPDATES since they're kinda the same.
by merge I mean put all the subsections under the same heading.
It would tidy things up a lot.

Re: Forum section sbeing broke down into sub-forums
please don't break it down too much. I left the other forum because they had 300 sub sections and it made it nearly impossible to post a question. If my van will not start when cranking where would I put that. There are electrical problems that could cause it as well as lubrication problems and fuel delevery problems that would cause it to not start. Since this is a common question that can now be placed in one general forum and get answers from everyone. People might not look in the "electrical" section of the board thinking they are not that good at electrical work even though they might have had the problem someone is describing and know the answer but never post it because there is so many sections they never find the post.

Re: Forum section sbeing broke down into sub-forums
I would say put it in the most relevant category. Engine. The best way to find something is with the search anyways. You'll still get answers from everyone since I'm sure most people use the 'view new/active/unread posts' links.

I thought about the SAS section but since there are only a few of us who did it, it doesn't make sense to make a separate sub-forum. But then again, there is only 1 or 2 diesel swaps...I will add a SAS section since it is extremely different than the basic lift kits.loopie wrote:OFFROAD

We do have a "Van Campers" section under the ASV Outdoors & Camping section. The LOUNGE is more for posting topics that could get heated and DISCUSSION is for anything PG. I'll leave the ADMINISTRATION/SITE ISSUES AND FORUM INFO/UPDATES alone as well.timelessbeing wrote:Gotta have a subforum for camperization!

Very good points! Thanks. I will adjust my first post with a new set of sub-forums under the ENGINES GENERAL/PERF. Let me know if it looks better. This is why I posted this. I want all types of constructive input to make this better for US!Kidhauler wrote:please don't break it down too much.
