As many of you know, I have built a few sets of what are known as Rock Rails for a few vans out there. I had an AS.com member (snapple) contact me about pricing a set that were a little more "custom". He wanted a set more for everyday use and not necesarily for severe rock crawling. He wanted to be able to use the side step for rocker protection as well as a side step to access the roof rack easier for loading and unloading kayak's and canoe's.

Once they were built it was decided that we would have them powder coated in a semi-gloss black for extra durability. These are actually the 3rd design and incorporated a full length rocker panel pinch weld seam mount to distribute the forces better, thanks to Lockdoc! \:D/

These will stick out about 9" from the pinch weld seam so you can get an idea. The price for a set of these powder coated black is $450 and includes stainless mounting hardware and installation if you come to my place! They can be coated in basically any color you can think of! Once Bill comes up to mount these on June 22nd, I will post pics of them mounted on his van for your viewing pleasure.
