Looking for cheap pipe

Post by JTalley »

After months of debating, I decided that I don't want a muffler. Right now, all I have is the cat. The pipes run straight from the engine to that, and that's it. No pipe, no muffler, nothing.

I like the sound of it now, and it isn't too loud, so I think I'll just go with straight pipes. However, all the pipe I could find is kinda expensive. Anybody know where to find some cheap?

I've already been to a shop, but they're kinda pricey... $50, I think. I was kinda wanting to find it cheaper so I'd only pay for labor.

Electrical EMT thin walled conduit is pretty cheap and is basically the same stuff, galvanized steel. It may or may not come in the exact same diameters but who cares as long as it welds up to a flange that you can buy at just about any auto parts store, or make yourself. If you know an electrician ask them for some scraps. They throw that shit away like crazy from job sites.
