I have a stock height 2000 Rwd and just ordered some 20x8.5" wheels, now I am shopping tires. I want a tire close to the factory height, would a 255/45/20 be an alright size to run?

Use
this calculator to figure out what size to go with. Those are 29" tall, about 1.3" taller than stock.

I gave you this Tire Size Calculator in your other topic on this sort of subject.
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
It will let you visually compare your Stock Size with your desired upgrade size.
Have a look at it this time, O.K. ???

I have looked thank you. I figured out that size with the calculator, but just realized I typed in the wrong size since I was on my phone in a hurry. What I meant was 255/35/20 which is 10" wide and 27" tall. My Astro has 215/70/15 factory.

I would like to go with a thicker sidewall such as the 255/45/20 as listed above, it is a 29.04" diameter so I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I can't find anyone running this combination which makes me think that there may be rubbing issues.

So Maybe take a look at what members are claiming to run without rubbing issues.
CaptSquid comes to mind. See Here:

Now plug his tire size into the calculator vs your desired size.
Will it work? Will it rub? 20's are pretty big, and a taller sidewall will save the day when a pothole comes calling.
Best of Luck, Jim
