Ok so its that time of year again for me to do another V8 swap
This time the candidate is a 1998 Astro Van... fully loaded of course lol.
Anyhow it has a vortec 4.3 in it... i wanna swap it out for a 1999 Vortec 350 i just happen to have here.
Now as far as i know all i need is an ECU and engine wiring harness from either a 98 or a 99 truck/van with the vortec 350 and 4l60e trans.
Can anyone confirm this is all i need?
Thanks, Gordon

Figured as much but i wanted to be sure.
Done 7 V8 swaps so far but this is my first real "vortec" swap.... ooooohhh. LOL
Being as i hate wiring i prefer to just buy an entire harness and plug it in.
I got a buddy whos gonna "custom" program the ecu for me taking out the rev limiter crap and speed limiter and some other garbage that doesn't need to be there.
Here's the van in question... already has the body kit, 2" drop and of course some bling in the form of 295/40/17s on Billet Specialties rims.

It's gonna get a repaint -- Chevy Pearl White. Same as the Escalades paint color.
Should look pretty sweet when its done and it'll haul ass.
I wanna add air bags to it eventually and be able to drag frame at some point.

Gordon, got a sense of what a paint job like that is going to cost??.It is the silvery white kind of paint, right??.I want to paint the high top with that before I put it on Ole Yellar.

Yup that silvery white metallic looking paint.
The last quote i got with me doing all the bodywork and having it primed and ready for paint was $4200 :-k
