Yup, the pipe lift retains OEM suspension geometry. However the much larger tires will require more steering force to turn them. Also, when off-roading, lateral forces on the wheel (rocks, ruts etc.), and therefore steering linkage, will be magnified.

Yeah-that's what I said about increased tire sizes.It's what you"pay to play".

All that said,
from what I've seen of Peter's van, While awesomly cool, to those of us who are hard core 4 wheelers, it is not a very capable off road machine at all !
(capable off road machine) I dont think thats what he wanted from it, so he has what he wanted. An Awesome 'looking' street machine that happens to be AWD.

I believe the OP was more interested in making an 'off road capable' machine with good clearance and good wheel travel, suitable for off road, not just a big, pretty, street mobile...

Actually what started it all with Petey was trying to go wheeling with those tires and a 4.3.The poor 4.3 said oh no,none for me.So Peter did do some off roading.

The resident hard core off roader is certainly Dean and Tom.
