I added two pics of the '04 Cargos back door with the license plate removed. I'll leave them at the front of the Astro-mino thread for now before moving them to the rest of the '04 pics. Photobucket is having another hissy fit today and won't let me write a note under the pics ????
Please click on the 1st post to this thread for the link. Ask Photobucket why as I have no idea. When "they" improved their site awhile back it turned to kaka imo.

Looks good!

I was flipping through a bunch of your other pics, many of which I hadn't seen, and continue to marvel at you abilities and project(s). Very cool!

I'm going to keep adding pictures to this Photobucket link instead of posting pics every time I get something else done. Short note under the pics... HP
Added pics and a wiring diagram for putting '98 Camaro dual electric fans in place of the clutch fan on my '04 Cargo.
I was hoping doing it this way would add the link to this post. Guess one still needs to click on my 1st post to this thread.

Got the wiring done and it all works. Just waiting for the senders to show up and have to buy a chunk of 1" id X 1.250" od aluminum pipe to turn out the sender manifold on my lathe for the upper radiator hose.

So they are single speed fans switched at different temps.
I've been watching this because I used a set from a '98 Subaru in my '97, two speed fans to a single variable switch sensor. Mine start as soon as I turn the key w/o the engine running, does your setup does as well?
I can't see that it matters one way or the other but I was wondering if that were normal in the stock setup of the original vehicle.

Neither of these fans can turn on before the engine thermostat opens as the senders are in the upper radiator hose. It will run on the left 185* sender fan unless the water temp goes up to 200* and then the right fan kicks in. I drove it around with the 185* fan unhooked to make sure the 200* one kicked in and it does so I think I'm in good shape. The 2 "hot all the time" red wires got slid into the harness going up to the fuse box and bolted on at the post just to the left of the twin posts in front of the fuse block.
Tks for watchin,,, Stan

I have to admit; the whole concept of the Astro El Camino; was a stroke of Artistic genius.
Love that ride!
91 Astro EXT; never liked GM till i stumbled into this van. Free just for dragging it out of a field. Ran like a scalded cat, had 53K miles and completely rusted out brake lines. Been all over North America, lots of fire roads and no roads; fully loaded and towing constantly. Average 21 mpg. I recently (by accident) found out she now has 265,886.4 miles without so much as a tuneup, and only 1 oil change. And still no leaks. MAN I LOVE THIS VAN !
