knocking when cold and low oil pressure when hot

Hello everyone,I have a 98 safari with 328000 kms on it and now I have developed a knocking noise when cold,low oil pressure when hot>any help with this would be great

Neither of those symptoms are good. The knocking could be and is most likely a rod knock. This condition will cause the low oil pressure. You should have this repaired immediately. If the rod breaks it could destroy the engine.

sounds like time to shop for a rebuild or a v8 or both...

hello all,I tried a engine flush just to see what would happen,to my surprise it looks like it solved my problem with the noise

kleen flo engine flush (blue bottle).did well for me
