IT Astro Build

Hey ya'll currently camperizing IT Astro.
Here is my original design.
My problem lies in that the fridge doesn't really fit. The bump from the fuel filling area is definitely in the way.
So, I am thinking I will build a box for the fridge, and try to slide it between the front seats. This is not perfect as I really appreciate being able to walk between the front and back cabin, I can't really think of anything better, any thoughts?
If not, does anyone know how to remove the arm rest on the front seats? I don't see any zippers or bolts?
Well, I'll be posting pictures as I make progress.
Thanks

We have had members turn the gas filler 45 degrees so it is in the drivers door opening.Works pretty well and might get the clearance you want. :-k

There's a clip between the arm rest and the seat.

hey thanks for the insight.
I have put it between the seats for now. It didn't really fit there either, but I switched the driver and passenger seats to get the arm rest and adjustment levers out if the way. Seems to have worked, I now have a very tight fit.
Thanks!

What are the dimensions of the crates, or how deep is the shelving, and then the bed is how wide?
Thanks.

The crates are 14 cubed i think. the bed is 45" wide. Its plenty of room for one, and enough for the lady friend and I.
I'll post pics next week. I've working my ass off the last 2 months and stocked to be finishing it up.
cheers,

So I am mostly done with the interior. I still have to figure out some propane issues, build a cabinet to house the fridge, design some auxilery power system and remake my curtains. But, I've been calling this home for the last month, with relative ease, and will hopefully get a few more months in before I want to pay rent again.
Here it is
The Cabin.

the passenger area, so far I've had three on the front bench and one on the back bench, that is six people with no complaints!

When I wake up I throw all the bedding on the back bench incase its my turn to drive to lunch. You can see my milkcrates there holding whatever, and in the next compartment I hang my clothing, and in the forward compartment I put my back pack, motorcycle helmet and duffle bag.

I put this handle in for easy access to the propane and quick escapes, it is also hand when your trying to sleep and it is wicked hot out. the handle works even if the doors are locked. pretty nice/
The Galley

It has a little foot pump to power the plumbing. The plumbing is not yet perfect, but it is working. The stove has not yet been used, I need to find an easy way to split my propane line with out making a big expensive copper system.

with cutting board.

with out,
The Bunk

Slide out these nice 2x4's

slide out the beches

and its a bed!
The Stern,

This took me alot of fabrication and junk yarding, but I got my propane tank to attach to a swing gate! It looks a lot nicer now that it is all black.

It swings the whole way out, but the propane line was holding me back.

And this piece slides in and has a cam latch to lock it in and hold it all solid!
And that's my baby! In the next few months I want to finish everyhting up and take care of all the quirks: propane, electric, plumbing, and I want to have a life on by winter!
Thanks for looking!

Wow, Thats a great summer home. Nice Job !
May end up being just like my retirment villa, Lol.
I gotta ask,,
The homemade dutch door interior opener latch,
could ya please do a quick write up about how to make this?
I love the idea and have a similar option on my barn doors that opens and also lock/unlocks it.

Nice job! Lots of good ideas there. I 2nd the notion on a write up on the escape hatch handle. I bet most would like to have that
option in their vans.
