Yup, gotta love the Discover Pass! This was legislators and state bureaucrats idea of a way to fully fund State Parks, the Department of Natural Resources & Fish & Wildlife. And how's that working out for 'em? "Sales are not meeting expectations..." Why do I think it is a flop? First, it wasn't transferable between vehicles. They modified it so it can be transferred between two vehicles. Hmm, I own five.... FAIL! Second, why so steep for a one day pass? $10 freakin' dollars?! How about $5? Who wants to pay $10 to visit a State Park for a day? Or an area like you did? Lots of other places to go... for free!

Okay, rant off! Carry on!

I've never heard of/seen the Peshastin place you were. I did spend last weekend at the Blu-Shastin RV Park in Peshastin though. Must have been in the same area I suspect.

We liked Frenchman's Coulee (on Old Vantage Hwy) so much, we're going back this weekend. The weather here in Vancouver is going to suck, so we want to enjoy some more of your sun and warmth. Being a US holiday, though, I'm afraid it's to be way busier out there.

hey tlb.. I'm in North Van and have a Safari (with a poptop from GTRV) and we're always camping and exploring and climbing.

We're headed to Yosemite mid April, we should try and organise a trip around here sometime.
