wiring questions:

Post by markmitchinnh »

I have a 1993 Safari with CPI I am just wondering if its possible to install a TBI V8 without changing the wiring harness?
will the ECM from a TBI V8 truck plug into the wiring harness or not? has anyone done this?
Recently bought a 1989 Astro RS from Florida. Replaced stock engine witha 1997 5.7 vortec with TBI and replaced transmission with rebuilt 700R4 with mild shift kit.
Bought on Monday the 16th of April 2012

If you look in the small block V8 section, you can find a thread by Lockdoc titled CPI to TBI swap. It has everything you are looking for. Sometimes a simple search yields fine results. :yawinkle:
