I'm feeling...better than anyone else I know with ALS. To the untrained eye, I look normal. I'm losing control of my right index finger and pinky, and my hands are weak in general and cramp up a lot, so motorcycling (especially neer cliffs!) is a bit dangerous. I can't ride with a finger or two on the levers; need all of them just to hang on to the grips, and then moving them to the levers in time to brake is...suspect...and then very weak once they do finally get there. :yikes:

My Gas Gas is too snappy and powerful to hold on to so I had to ride my buddie's turd-I mean DRZ.
My shoulders are really weak, forearms atrophied...yada yada yada.

I'm on a lot of creatine and aakg, and 20 other suplements so I've gained 35 lbs, which my doctors think is great but I think it sucks. Nothing like losing muscle and gaining fat! ( Ithink I'm about to change that plan)

But I can still pick up, hold, hug, and dress the kids, etc, thank God.

I can still explore in the van with the best of them! Can still pull down the pop top! Doing the brakes, fuel filter, etc, was a pain in the ass (hard to hold tools and turn them).

Thanks Deano.

TLB, I owe you and have not forgot about you. :dunce:

Glad you are feeling well enough to get out and play. I am sure you are spending most of your time with the kids and Jen. Seeing you out wheeling makes me miss it so much but we spend a lot of time out camping. We have 8 or 9 trips booked already with several being a week or more!

Live it up, Dean! Something real nice about being out camping.

hey Tom if you ever need help working on the van just send a PM and I could come down on a weekend and give you a hand. The Moab pics look great. Remember Rocke still owes you one from helping pull that rear axle years ago. :poke:

The pictures are awesome. It's even more awesome to see you living life. Cherie and I are going to visit my Mom in Washington (Sequim) after Fiesta this year. I'll make it a point to stop by. I drove right thru Matt's area two years ago. I had no way of getting in touch with him so I missed that opportunity. I know.... excuses, excuses. My bad. "6 days is not nearly enough" I know how that is. Fiesta is 9 day event and that's not nearly enough. Cherie and I usually take three weeks to do that event.
Give Jen and the kids a hug. See ya in October.

Wicked pics from an undoubtedly wicked trip. Thanks for sharing. :supz:

I'm thinking of coming down your way May-ish for a climbing weekend.

Good to see you are still out and enjoying yourself Tom, is Matt's shop really as huge as it looks?

THanks, Zammer, TLB, and Skip.

Yeah, I've seen hockey rinks in smaller barns! Yet, like any true project guy, he wishes he had a tad more room because you can't swing a cat in there without hitting a project, a tool, or a toy!

Be great to see you Skip. Matty is only minutes off the freeway.

Plenty of pics and a night video of Baby Lions Back coming to this thread in the near future...

I'd go up to cruise around Chiliwack Lk or up by Harrison or somewhere just to roll with my lifted Canadian Brothers. Or we could crash a Delica meet. :axe:
