Looks like i need to take my awd down to a 2 wd in my endeavour to pro tour the van. Need some info from you guys that know the awd system well. What will i need to swap, remove or replace?

Also, are the two subframes completely different from each other or can i just strip the awd parts and use the same sub frame?

The subframes are different but swappable. Search for a post Lockdoc did years ago...it was a major pain in the butt!

Your best bet would be to remove the AWD transfer case and swap in a NP 231 2 speed and run RWD only. You don't even need to modify the front driveshaft.

I'm not exactly sur what that means, but I gather you wouldnt want the front axle, even if it wasnt connected.
You cant take out the front axle and everything and just go drive around. You wont get too far.
If you leave the front axle in there and swap in a 2wd/4wd T-case like the NP231 etc, it is part time 4wd. part time 2wd.
If it actually has to be a 2wd without the front running gear, you could swap in a 2wd subframe or look for a 2wd van to use.
Your awd transmission is different than a 2wd transmission as well because of the mounting of a transfer case to it.
Probably easiest to find a reasonablt priced /good 2wd van. These tons of em out here on the west coast.
