Analog to Digital conversion

Post by AquaAngel »

I was wondering if anyone could shine the light on this as my manual for my astro van "93" ain't clear on which wire does what as i'm about to install my new dash in my girl.

mostly looking for the color code wires for the speedo, volt, oil pressure, SES, break lights, Battery and high beam, my tach is easy as i have one already done up for my anti theft device also has a remote start and needed a tach signal. so that part is done OOOooohh and fuel and blinkers

thanks in advance

Well i have 2 weeks off to relax, well sort of.
Finally made it on upgrading my dash to a digital.

As of today? all is working except my water temp gauge as it is defective, i'm getting a replacement tomorrow, but everything else are working the way it should. really happy with the result, but disappointed on the defective gauge.

Here are some pics for you guys. ENJOY!

The water temp gauge ain't lit as i previously mentioned, it is defective, what a bummer. i thought it was my wiring or maybe i forgot the solder one wire, but no, all done, checked the voltage and it is there, checked my resistance for the sensor and it is there which lead me to believe that the gauge is Defective, looking forward for tomorrow to replace it.

Sure is nice, but hit a few blips.

My oil pressure gauge is giving me a wrong reading as it keeps going over 100psi when i stop and 80 psi when i drive, i'll be using the after market OIL sender that came with the gauge, this should solve the problem with the wrong readings, just gonna T off the 2 sensors

The speedometer needs to be set up, but i think i used the wrong wire for it as i used the light blue / blk wire and i think i should of went with dark blue. ( do correct me if i'm wrong) just looking for the lead Signal wire for the speedometer.

I'll be picking up my other temp gauge today and hope this will work first time, but over all? i'm pleased with the results, i'll show you guys a video of it in action. It is pretty kewl to see it in action, rpm, speed and all. :supz:
