Whats up guys, new to the boards, checking on some info as I'm starting to have o2 issues. Here's my beast. It's a 2001 Cargo I purchased in 2005 for my Mobile DJ Business. It's gone through some changes over the years. Some new rims, tires etc. Added a blue lightning bolt graphic, then some DJ graphics until my HOA decided to become pricks, so I removed them, and the bolt. I did the front Headlight/grill conversion so it didn't look like a plumbers van. I recently added a smooth white painted bumper cover, and repainted the rear bumper to match. I can't find those pics. I'm looking at restyling the interior in the next month or so with some diamond plate floors and carpet/padded.insulated sides and ceiling. I'll post pics on that project. i have 223K on the odometer and have some miles on it. Last summer I did a full front end rebuild with progressive suspension bushings, shocks, idler arms, gearbox, tie rods, everything. Drives super smooth.

What a clean van! Looks to be very southern like Skips….never seen salt! I like the look with the chrome wheels.

Well, 223K sounds like a lot, but... I got burned when I bought it used. After about 8 months of driving, I noticed my oil pressure going down. Changed the sensor, dropped the pan and put in a High volume oil pump and all, and still it would bottom out the gauge at idle. Took it to the Stealership because I wanted confirmation that the motor was terminal. $500 later they told me the cam bearings where wiped clean, and it's terminal. It looked like the intake hose from the filter was loose, and whoever had it as a fleet vehicle never did oil changes. I ended up putting in a brand new Crate motor I picked up off from Ebay for $1500. Not too bad, everything brand new from the oil pan to the intake and injectors. No swapping old parts over.

I have had issues along the way though. Had to do Injectors and harness, Updated the distributor to a billet one, new coil, all new crank/cam sensors, running Bosch Plat 4's trying to help the mileage and Taylor 9mm wires and brass cap and rotor. I hate these Vortec distributors. Had an issue 3 months ago with a clogged cat, then the chunks blew into the muffler, so did a new exhaust system. Now O2 issues. I'm glad I'm a Mechanic. Parts are pretty cheap.... spent some time on it though.
