My 2000 safari runs like crap when it rains...

My 2000 safari runs like crap when it rains, doesn't matter if it is stored inside or out. Replaced the coil last month in hopes of a cure, ran pretty OK but has recently started the bad weather behavior again. I'm thinking maybe plug wires? I think I've replaced the coil wire already.

Also, sometimes it seems like when I press the accelerator the engine just ignores it, could that be the throttle position sensor or would that maybe be the fuel pump getting tired?

Most likely you need a full tune-up. Replace the cap, rotor, plugs and wires with quality AC Delco units and go from there. I am betting that will clear up the throttle issue as well.
