Hybrid Pads?
Hey guys just wondering if anyone has used these hybrid brake pads? The ones im looking at are the E3 from Raybestos. Any thoughts on those? And what do you guys use on your vans and your experience with them? I was leaning more towards a semi-metallic pad until i saw these hybrids.

Checking if a wheel hub/bearing is bad?
Hey guys, im pretty sure i need a bearing on my 2003 RWD Chevy Astro because i hear a roaring noise inside which is more noticeable when turning right. Also my ABS comes on intermittently when slowly coming to a stop. I jacked up the van and checked for play at 12 and 6 but there wasnt any, the driv...

I have an 89 chevy caprice, which is the same front end as the astros, and the threads on the passenger outer tie rod and connecting sleeve got worn down and it popped out. Where to run power wire through firewall.
Hey i just wanted to know where i could run a 4 gauge power wire for an amp through the firewall of an 03 Astro without drilling. On my 91 i was able to go through where the ebrake cable run through, but it seems a lot tighter under the dash of the 03.

Realsing parking brake?
Hi i have a 91 chevy astro, I used the parking take the other day so I could put the shifter in first and remove the dash trim. After that the parking brake hasn't fully disengaged. The ebrake light stays on I drove a short distance with it and felt that the left drum got hotter than he left. I went...

But i cleaned them all put dielectric grease on everything and havent had any problems since. I kninda ha...

Passenger dash handle
Hey guys, i just had a quick question. The handle thats on the passenger side of the dash above the airbag broke on my 05 safari. I was gonna head over to the local u-pick yard and find one. It looks as if there are just 2 metal prongs that hold it on. I was just wondering how to take it off without...

Hi guys, my pass window doesn't want to go down. The master switch is fine. I checked the wiring in the boot in the door jamb, and all the wires were intact. I took off the door trim and i could here the motor engage when i pressed up, but nothing when i press down. Could it be the motor? or maybe i...

Re: Squealng Brakes
Ya you should try some anti squeal lube on the backs of the pads. I have some cheap pads on that were squealing all the time. I put some of that anti squeal on and it stopped the squealing completely! i was amazed! i used this stuff by permatex: http://www.permatex.com/products/Automotive/specialize...

Re: New LED Dash Lights
Wow thats not a bad price!! and it will update the look of the van for sure!!
Oh and it should be noted that if your replacing the tail light or side marker bulbs make sure you get the same color LED bulb as the lens (amber/red). It will be much brighter than replacing it with a white LED.
