Please tell the the pump check valve is in the pump 92 CPI
As the title says... I'm assuming the check valve is in the pump... Do I assume correctly or am I screwed? I've got the new pump, strainer, filter, and hanger harness ready to be installed... but I don't want to pay my mechanic 2x to do the job if the check valve still fails to operate. Referencing ...

Re: Supercharger anyone?
It would most likely be easier to swap an entire SII or SIII 3.8 into the van. being a turbo nut, I would remote mount a td06-18g or something similar.. I'm currently in the market for a GP in better condition then mine for the beginning of a turbo swap car, All Hail the boost gods man... I updated ...

Re: Broken injector tab question... need to buttun up the jo
:withstupid: I do have a functioning idea. I used the end of a 8" plastic wire tie. it popped in the hole with a flat head, and wont' come out til I yank it ( already tested ), probably holds it better then the crappy push tab crap. Now the idiot women that did the spider set before me... strip...

Broken injector tab question... need to buttun up the job.
Well My van has been this way the entire time I've had it with no ill affects... while I was in there diagnosing the fuel issue I am having ( which is pinned down to the pump now ), I wanted to check and make sure my spiders leg's didn't spring any leaks... So I did the right side.. fine.. .left sid...

Re: Off to check the wife's van...
Not to hijack this thread, but I fully understand working in the cold temps. It was -7 out yesterday @ 2pm while I was working on pulling the upper plenum off... brrrr....
This is the price that's paid for living up north.
Glad to hear you resolved the issue.

Re: What does this vacuum line run?
I've got a buddy who's city has a scrip to AllDataPro... Therefore I twisted his pinky finger until he forked over a diagram for me. Looks like the vac line is for the purge system.

What does this vacuum line run?
Ohkay curiosity is killing this cat. I've started to pull the upper plenum off becuase I was thinking the FPR is toast, still not sure although what I can tell is that it's nasty on both sides, I'm going to finish removing hte upper plenum and turn the key and see if I see it leakign anywhere. Howev...

Re: Pump or Regulator?
Thank you all for your postings. I will have to remove that valve and see what it looks like inside. ( If I can get in that far, haha ) And yes once I do get it to start it is EXTREMELY lean. To the point I'm backfiring, and all sorts of nasties. Whatever it is, was a progressivly worse thing. It st...

Pump or Regulator?
Well this has been an increasingly worse problem. Now I need the van pretty bad. I can get it to start and idle and even drive ( kinda ) using starting fluid. But it won't GO. Has no balls. I've hooked up a FPT adn it shoots to 54 during pump prime then immediately once the pump prime stops it's dro...

Re: Random off idle misfire / extreme lean conditions sometimes
I had an EGR causing very similiar conditions on my 95 on start up, after several hundred dollars the new EGR fixed the problem nicely ( not to say that you may not have other issues with the van as mentioned in the earlier responses ) however the van is now off the road for good with that new EGR ...

Random off idle misfire / extreme lean conditions sometimes
Hey guys. I bought my 92 back in October. Previous to my owning it sat for about 3 years. No biggie. Water pump went out, replaced it easy enough, trans went out, replaced it, PS pump snapped a shaft, easy enough to replace.. The thing that's been buggin me though is the ignition / fuel issues I hav...
