Now its in one piece in my hand, and I know the aluminum plate gets glued to the windshield and the mirror attaches to it with a set screw..but... Re: Oil coolant lines
Look on this site, someone has posted a detailed fix for leaking cooler lines. It's very simple and they even have pics to show how it was done. The only cost was 4 worm clamps.

Cooling Fan
I'm removing the cooling fan on my 2000 4.3 Astro van. Is that fan threaded onto the waterpump shaft or just held on by the pulley bolts ?

runs rough when hot
I've owned my van for a week and have driven it twice. I dont know much about the history of it but was told it had heads replaced due to an overheating issue. My first thought of the poor running condition is that it needed a cat converter. I cut it out and it was clean. I then changed the fuel pre...

Re: Oil Pan / Cooler lines leaking ?
I replaced the oil cooler adapter o-ring and the lines. It looks like it may be the front of the oil pan or the chain cover. seems to be in that general area.

Runs rough / no Acceleration
Just purchased my 2000 Astro van with 141k and having numerous problems. On the first day I replaced the fuel pressure regulator on a recommendation from a friend due to rough Idle and P 300 code for random misfires. It ran ok on short trips. Today was the first real drive in it, and it wont acceler...

Changed it as fast as the thought entered my head... Cleaned up the oil and drove it around. Still found oil on the bottom of pan and frame.

Re: Oil Pan / Cooler lines leaking ?
Thanks, I was thinking the cooler lines, but it looks as though it's coming from where the tc cover and the pan meet. Unless the cooler line is spraying it that way. Another thought was with the leaking fuel press regulator, could it have washed into the oil, adding to it and building unwanted press...

Oil Pan / Cooler lines leaking ?
Hi Everyone, I'm new to the site, as well as a new (2000) Astro van owner. My first day of ownership I had to replace the fuel pressure regulator. Upon completion of that task I was reving the engine to clear out the loaded fuel and noticed a nice size puddle of oil under the van. After cleaning the...
