Smacked a Lumina
I'm back. I haven't been on the forum much because I moved three times in the past three months and things have been pretty hectic on my end. Anyway, as the title suggests, I smacked a Chevy Lumina. Of course, the Lumina is fine. Not even a scratch. It was on a slope, though, and managed to miss the...

Re: Ordered a bunch of new parts...
...only to find out the slop was in the steering box for example. I've been under there countless times, having people turn the wheel. Everything is loose, and when the wheel is turned, the whole linkage flops up and down about 4". I'm sure it's not in the steering box. Plus, all the grease cu...

Ordered a bunch of new parts...
I'm tired of that loose, unsafe steering, so I just bought both idler arms, a new drag link, and both tie rod ends. I think I may get new ball joints as well. Anything else I've missed? I just wanna replace everything that turns... It's completely worn out. I'll probably get it as close as I can, th...

XM radio mounting location
I just got one of those satelite radios, and it's a blast. More radio stations than I could've ever dreamed of, and you don't lose them on long trips. Problem is, though, I can't keep it on the dash. I attached it to one of the little plates above my radio (where switches go, but mine doesn't have a...

Re: Car-b-que?
Dual-wrapping takes longer. We didn't get the sausage links entirely cooked because we wrapped two per pack, whereas with the hot dogs we wrapped one per pack. Each pack is supposed to be wrapped in three layers of foil for safety. It's completely safe, if done properly (and it's very easy, not much...

Re: Car-b-que?
Car-b-Que Stats: Hot dogs- Intake manifold; 26 minutes. Exhaust pipe- 15 minutes. On the intake manifold, they got hot, but I didn't get the crispy outside I was looking for. I tried the exhaust pipe, and they got the crispy, seared "barbeque" texture, but it would've cooked more evenly if...

Re: Car-b-que?
That book I ordered finally came in... I've been reading it and getting ideas. I haven't had the chance to try any of them yet, though.

Did a bit of a crawl today
I was unloading a bunch of stuff into a building with a friend of mine. There's one gate to get into the area, but it doesn't need a fence because the grade of the surrounding area was so bad it was deemed innaccessible. Of course, someone had to park in front of the gate, so while there was barely ...

Re: Totally Obnoxious Individual
Many of the people that go to WalMart just seem to have some deep-seated hatred of everybody. I work there. There was a wreck in the parking lot, followed by a verbal fight, the police were called, etc. I get yelled at by the customers all the time because I'm a cart pusher and all our carts have be...

Re: Very persistant code 15
I've finally bought a new pigtail for it. How do I replace it? I heard that splicing it can make it get an improper reading, but I can't seem to find anything in my repair manual about putting a new connector on.

Re: Car-b-que?
I just ordered a book called Manifold Destiny, all about the art of car-b-quing. Should be a good read.
