Re: Squealng Brakes
They should have been in the box, seperate from the brake pads, if not I would go down to were you bought them, and have them pull them out of another box. I have to drive 60 miles to get raysbestos brakes, and they have always come with the silencer pads, outside of longevity, thats why I went to t...

Re: Squealng Brakes
If you got the raysbestos pads, they should have come with some stick on paper looking pads, these pads stop these pads stop that iritating squeel, thats why I only buy raysbesto pads for my Van, htere the only ones that never squeeled, but you have to put those paper looking things on the back of t...

Re: Sliding door spacer
I'm with skippy, when I was building my Van, I wanted to bring the slider out, I must have spent 6 months trying to find something but no luck. The only other way is to put in mini tubs. I do have 60 tires on the rear with 8" rims but can't open my slider all the way.

Re: 93 sliding side door repair
To get to the rollers, you will need to remove your rear panel by the passenger side rear wheel, there will be 3 nuts you will have to remove, to get the outside panel off, once you get the outside panel off you will see all your rollers. You can probably order them from the dealer. Or scrounge the ...

Re: Which accessory brackets should I use?
I believe your 93 the alternator is on the passenger side, and your ac is on the drivers side, on the 89 aren't these in reverse order? If they are you would probably want to go with the 89 brackets.

Re: floor shifters? non manual!!!!

Re: floor shifters? non manual!!!!
I put a Lokar floor shifter in my 93 safari when I still had the v/6 and 4L60 trans. It came out of the floor about 2 inches in front of the seats. When I put the 350 and 400 turbo in, I went to the Gennie 26 inch swan shifter, with the 400 I had to get a rear mount shifter. It lines up to the same ...

Re: Help with lowered shocks
When I lowered my 93 Safari, I used the belltech lowered shocks and didn't like the ride, I put on stock shocks and what a difference in ride quality. I have since instaled steel leaf springs and put in 1 inch lowering blocks with the stock shocks. The ride is still great. Hope this helps.

Re: What rim size ?????
Skippy! I just put that size on the rear of my 93 Safari, I used 8" Crager "smoothies" They look good on my lowered Van, When you open your slider, the lower inside trim will just touch the tire when you open it a little over half open. You will notice that, but to me it was no big de...

Re: Wiper Trigger For No Apparent Reason
I just went through the same problem with my 93 Safari, inside your wiper motor is a printed circuit, remove the 1 bolt on the front and pull the cover and you will see it. Went to the salvage yard to get just the printed circuit, the wouldn't sell me just the circuit board, I had to buy the whole m...

Have you removed your hoses and blown air through them? Did this to mine and had a bunch of junk in them.

Re: Swivel Bases from an early astro conversion van - Skippy?
A few years ago when I was building my 64 Chevy van, I found the swivels for seats at your local boat shops, I was fortunate to be close to Bass Pro in Springfield, MO, I also think you might luck out at an RV accessories show room.
