Right, well I've driven it around all day yesterday, and to work this morning. No problems.
So if you've got what you think is a fuel issue, might want to check the cheap-ish electrical stuff first. ;)
Thanks for the help, Lads.
ps - I am also side-post.

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
I took my wife to work while praying it wouldn't die. Now to go pick her up.

Re: Runs fine, then dies
Ah, might try that then as I'd disconnected it while doing the alternator. Weird how it'd come and go.

Re: Runs fine, then dies
Maybe but I've learned the expensive way that when it seems like fuel issues, check the simple electrical stuff.Bubbathegimp wrote:Sticky Choke?

Runs fine, then dies
Hello everyone. Right, as perhaps 3 of you will know, I just changed the alternator in my van. That went fine. But since I changed it, she runs like **** (I got told I couldn't say that). Everything's fine til she's nice and warmed up, then under load, like a hill or whatnot, she'll cough and splutt...

Alternator done. Not as crowded in there as I'd feared.

Sorry, I came across all vocal.
Ok, so I found a new Haynes manual for $20 today so I'll check that as well.

Sweet. I should've known that. First vehicle with these style headlights in a long long time.
Thanks though.

Re: How do I change the headlight?
Always a funny guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :muhaha: If it's the single rectangle bulb as the "Smilie Van" then you will need to remove the grille. It's not as bad as it may sound. Only a hand full of screws. If it's the composite I don't have a clue. \:D/ Oh right. nevermind. Thanks :drinkers:

Hallo. New.
I'm new. My name is Kev and I currently live in Medicine Hat, Alberta after 8 brilliant, drunken years in Ireland. Needed a big car for a growing family. A Do-it-all. Found a 93 Safari last year for $700 and snatched it up. I love the bloody thing. So utilitarian and honest.
