i bought 2" tall body blocks from a place called zone offroad for $3 each and they didn't charge for shipping. longer bolts ran me $20 from tacoma screw... but make sure to call around as not a lot of places carry M12 and M14 bolts in 150mm.

AWD tire wear differential specification?
so, i crashed my van. too lazy to put the studs on, hit some ice and smacked into a snowplow. bent the frame, tons of body damage, cracked the oil pan, bent the steering knuckle and upper arm, etc... but i rigged it all back together and it's back in the game. so my question is, i have three 215/75/...

my 98 awd LT with front ac only weights about 4700-4800 with the seats in. my previous car was a stripped 77 rabbit that weighed 1620. heh.

i had a similar debate when van shopping. while the toyota is a true 4x4 and gets better fuel economy, it lacks the interior room and towing capacity of the astro. the syncro has a sweet interior but is underpowered, way overpriced, and a pain in the ass to work on. i landed on a 98 awd for $2000 fr...

if it's any help, to pull the pan on my awd 98 i had to lower the front differential and remove the oil filter flange.

oh, and thanks- i posted about it on the other site before it died. i got a new 3" flowmaster on craigslist for $40 and i had some mandrel bends from another project. not sure if it help performance, but i like the grumble.SoCalli V8 wrote:Nice van, I like the side exit exhaust.......

i wish mine was still that clean underneath, there is still red clay from moab last spring under everything from this winter. i should get down there with a brush though, as it's almost time for another trans oil change and fuel filter. thanks for the comments, i'll check out your light bar post.

nothing special, just figured i'd add to the forum content a bit considering all the help this site has given me... almost 190k and it runs flawlessly. up the mountain all winter, and into the woods all summer, great truck.

i built a raced two different early rabbits for rallyx and autox, and did a ton of events. short of a broken exhaust and a bent control arm things went pretty well without incident. before you put to much effort in, email your local chief scrutineer of whatever sanctioning body you will participate ...
