2002 Astro
My right low beam is aimed too high and it is aimed higher than the left low beam.
When I switch to high beams, left and right are at the same height.
Is there a way to adjust the right low beam that does not affect the high beam?
Thks,
Dwight

Re: oil cooler manifold and line removal
Based on the colour of the coolant and the fact that I don't see any milkiness or discolouration of the tranny fluid, I a quite sure it is more likely to be engine oil rather than tranny fluid if it is fact oil. And I have checked the water pump and no leaks there. Not really having any loss of cool...

Re: oil cooler manifold and line removal
Hate to 'resurrect' this post but am looking for some advise. My 2000 Astro with 291,000 km on the clock appears to having engine oil enter the cooling system via a very small leak inside the radiator/oil cooler section. I say 'appears' because it is very hard to confirm 100%. I have in the past use...

What it the beef with Dexcool?
I have run it (Dexcool) in our 2000 Astro 2wd since new. Only recently did I decide to do a flush after I found what appeared to an almost gelatinous substance hanging from my radiator cap when I removed it after seeing some coolant on the garage floor. This leak was intermittent and only after sitt...

Would faulty rad cap cause coolant loss and reduced eng temp
Just noticed yesterday on 2000 Chevy Astro 288000 km that coolant level in expansion reservoir was below ADD level. Added antifreeze and water appropriately. I now notice that my temp gauge is not sitting at the mid point of the gauge when up to 'normal' operating temperature. Would a weak spring in...

Re: What oil for 288,000 km van leaking a bit at rear main seal?
Sounds like this is the one you would recommend then...?: Mobil Clean High Mileage 5W-30 Mobil Clean High Mileage 5W-30, a conventional motor oil, is designed for vehicles with more than 75,000 miles. It delivers proven protection of critical engine parts from lubricant-related failure for 5,000 mil...

Re: What oil for 288,000 km van leaking a bit at rear main seal?
Thanks for the reply. What would you consider to be the 'required oil'. The manual says 5w 30 but nothing of course about synthetic versus ??? because synthetic I think was just becoming available back when the van was new...

What oil for 288,000 km van leaking a bit at rear main seal?
2000 Chevy Astro. Owned since new. Has always 'burned' a bit of oil. Also had the leaking oil cooler lines. Now noticed a couple times, but not always, a few drops oil on the garage floor and they appear to be coming from the real main seal. Have always used name brand 5w 30 dino oil. Recently purch...

Re: help i am broke....is my problem the sypder.....
I ordered a pump to keep on hand since I have replaced one once before. Ordered it from Rock Auto. This is for a 2000 Astro. It is funny the Rock Auto invoice gave a part#MU1375 but the label on the box says MU1775. What bothers me is that there is no label on the pump itself. The last time the pump...

Re: Missing at idle after warm up
No problems with power and I haven't noticed the missing lately. My wife drives the van about 95% of the time and she hasn't complained or noticed anything but then even if it was dying she probably wouldn't notice until it was dead #-o Plug wires would be my next step if it starts to act up again. ...

Missing at idle after warm up

Best brand of fuel pump 2000 Astro?
Hope this is posted in correct area, if not, sorry. Replaced my fuel pump back in 2005 at 128,000 km now at 235,000 km. Used what was supposed to be same as OEM i.e.(ac?)delco part#MU1065 (MU1375). Has anyone used a different brand? If so, better or same life span? Part number? The existing pump see...
