Re: Center Floor Console Latch

Hi and welcome to the forum. You won't find this latch as a separate item. I guarantee that GM sold it as a complete console assembly, and I would be very surprised if you could still find it stocked anywhere. Search the usual online GM part suppliers or ask your local dealer. I recommend you look i...

Re: Key removal after starting

You probably need to replace the key cylinder and ignition switch. But I don't understand how the Passlock immobilizer doesn't kick in unless you've defeated it somehow.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge and Sensor(s)

Welcome to the forum. One is a pressure sensor for your gauge. The other is a fail safe switch that cuts off the fuel pump to save your engine from failure if the oil gets too low (and maybe turn on a light in your cluster). Below is a flow chart for diagnosing gauge issues. I believe the J-24538-A ...

bolts with 10mm heads are usually M6. You can always just ask your dealer to order you some. They have a catalog.

Re: 2002 5.7 conversion van misfire helppppp

Nice work. P0430 does not affect engine function at all. It's purely an emissions code. Driving for too long with a misfiring engine will kill a catalytic converter from all the fuel being dumped into it. When the engine light is flashing, it's saying "you need to stop driving and fix this righ...

Re: High Idle Nightmare - '95 Chevy G20 - Code 35

glad you found your issue. Rockauto has good parts, and less good parts, depending on how much you want to spend, and they grade them for you with categories (economy, premium, etc.). They even sell genuine OEM parts. Of course this all goes out the window when you have a vehicle that hasn't been in...

Re: Express van no heahlights

Hi welcome to the forum.
Check for bad grounds and corrosion in the sockets. If you measured power then switches are fine.
I don't know what left/right pins are but black wire is ground. Yellow is low beams, and dark green+white is high beams.

Re: Adding OEM Limited Slip

Since the G80 unit is purely mechanical, I believe control module programming will be identical. Wheel speed sensors will compensate for any limited slip activity. You can try asking , but I think the dealer will refuse. They only use new OEM parts based on your VIN. The part is "cheap", b...

Re: compressor runs on heat setting

it's 100 % logical and not absurd at all.
As I said, disable it at your peril. A couple of ounces of fuel is not worth replacing the AC system. As an engineer you should also understand that refrigerant lubricates the system.

Re: compressor runs on heat setting

Most people don't want humid air blowing on their cold windshield. I'm sure you know what will happen. Compressors are incredibly efficient these days. The fuel consumption is insignificant. Most people would rather have HVAC that works. Set controls to MAX-AC, and turn temp dial to hot. Now have yo...

Re: Adding OEM Limited Slip

Welcome to the forum. Just find a matching size axle with the limited slip option (RPO code G80). Beware of voiding your powertrain warranty though.
