Battery current sensor

Post by JSteps »

Battery when the engine is off is at 12 volts when the engine is running I’m at 13.8 volts. The belt is turning the alternator. No slack no noise when running. There is no corrosion on the battery terminals but I have a “service battery charging system” warning. It has to be the sensor right?

Hi Jsteps. Welcome to the forum. Please post your vehicle details.
12.0 V is pretty low. Have your system (battery + alternator) tested for free at the auto parts store. While you're at it, get a full diagnostic scan.
The current sensor is a solid state device. No much that can fail there.
