I've got several hours into looking for this latch for my center floor console on my 2000 Express 1500. I'm guessing I'm just not calling it the right name. I've tried several. Any help would be appreciated in finding one or at least providing the correct search term for the console.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
You won't find this latch as a separate item. I guarantee that GM sold it as a complete console assembly, and I would be very surprised if you could still find it stocked anywhere. Search the usual online GM part suppliers or ask your local dealer.
I recommend you look in your local salvage yards, or try to repair it yourself. Good luck!
