I second that... I think you guys just may have some bigger issues on your hands than more holidays :muhaha:

We just got a new holiday last month in Canada... it was called family day.... what a waste of money that was... As an employer I had to pay out wages to all my employees even though I was not even open that day... luckly I am a small company so it only cost me about a grand... but if I had more employees it could have stung a little more....

in my opinion, if you want a day off take a day off....

EDIT.... I did not check the link... Now I see that it is just a marketing campain... if there is anything worse than government it is advertisers!

You know,,being from the deep south, St. Patricks Day never was a real big deal but after going in the service and being stationed in Rhode Island I was introduced to how much of an occasion it is in New England. It was one big party and I don't remember many businesses being open out at Narrgansette but the bars were. One big green party it was. :supz:

Well I am a DJ and don't work other then that so I was not asking for support because I want a day off. I was asking for support because I am Irish and the Irish were treated like they were diseased or something when they first came to America and I feel they deserve the holiday for that reason just as they have a black folks holiday.

I love the Irish. My wife is part Irish. I'm not sure which part, but I've not found any that I don't like yet, so I guess it doesn't matter. I also like green Beer. I'm all for it, although I doubt that I'll get it off from work. :drinkers:
