New in jersey

Hi, I'm glad I found this forum. I have been in love with Astro's since my first new one in 1990 but have not had one since I sold my 96 in 2003. My wife(fiance at the time) said she would rather take a taxi than drive it. She actually prefers the older full size 70's vans. It was an extra car at the time. Now she wouldn't have to drive it at all so I am looking for one to play with. I have had a 90 5 pass, 95 8 pass, 96 8 pass, 89 5 pass, and another 96 8 pass. All were 2wd. Now I am looking for a newer AWD. Think I am going to try for a Safari this time around. Hope to learn a lot from this site. I have on the others I joined prior to purchase.

That's my wifes car. She's had it sine 1980. Her first car in high school.

When she was in HS in 1980 the 63 Vette was just another vette, not what it is today. Especially because she paid so little for it back then.
We've only been together 5 years. I had a 98 Vette convertible and a 93 40th anniv convertible when we were set up on a blind date. Needless to say we clicked.
She loves all kinds of cars but refuses to drive an Astro. Which is why I am looking for one. Make sense? I know the practicality of this van because I have had them in the past. With all the other cars we have she would never have to drive this one. Smart.

Oh my God,,,I just noticed it's a split window. Like Peter says,,where do you live and when will you not be there ? i'm coming to take it off your hands. It's insured, so no big deal,,right ???lol
Just kidding,,but can tell ya, in my earlier days,,if it had been sitting long in one place,,I'd of thought long and hard about rolling that jewel on a trailer and heading back south.
Stolen split window on a trialer headed south,,,I might have made it as far as the first exit south out of Jersey.

I was just telling wagonmaster before I noticed your wifes Vette is a split window,,that that was the best Vette design ever built and my all time favorite car. I've had a 63 and 64 but both rag tops so not anywhere near the look of a split window.

Here are a few of the vettes. The only one we still have is the 63. She will NEVER sell it. It was actually stolen when she was back in HS. It was gone for a few days and then found in a field in town. Minor damage was repaired.

Yep,,,best Vette body lines of any ever made. Thanks for sharing and I'll be there around mid-nite so don't listen to closely.
Since your wife has had this car that long and a daily driver I'm guessing,,not surprized that it had been stolen at least once.
