Finally found a Safari

Post by safaridude »

Bought a 2000 Safari SLT locally. AWD, power seats, quad seating, rear heat and AC. 69,000 miles. Factory tow package as well. I am getting it on Monday. I can't wait. This is my first Safari, I have only had Astros before. Not thrilled about the color but oh well.

18 inch wheels and tires definitely, don't like the stockers. Will keep them as winter wheels though. Maybe a nice sounding exhaust. I want to keep it as a daily driver. Then I need to find a second row bench seat to replace the captain style seats. Too difficult to take in and out for hauling purposes.

Does it have the mounts on the floor for a second row bench or will you have to add them?

Aaron, can you do some lazy curves with black on top of body line and candy apple or silver on the bottom ? Two tone it and you pick the dividing line. Start in different places on front fender but glass area down to where you have the red stripe is black.
If this is alot of trouble don't worry about it and maybe we should start another thread.

Nice van, and damn you for having the seats that I've always wanted. Especially the back bench! I hate you. :yawinkle:

With any luck, I might have the body kit on this month... my bodyman is draggin his feet. Why don't you go pick up a kit? Lower it, rims, exhaust, custom interior, stereo, v8 swap, then tub it, bag it, then change rims again.... :muhaha:

That van wont have the mounts, it has bolts sticking out of the floor for the middle row. Not sure how hard it is to put the pockets in the floor though. Dont want to see you buy a bench thinking it will pop right in when it wont without some work :)

That van looks great though! In very nice shape

Yeah, I'll do it. Might take me a few days. I'll post it in the Yet another lousy photoshop themed van thread when completed.
