I had to get to bed, so I quit after the first OT. Fleury is the biggest reason Pitt was able to hang in the game!

WTF??????????????????????

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

DAILY THOUGHT:
SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

I assume you mean won the game.....? :swords:

I agree most ofthe City of Detroit is an utter wasteland, but the Red Wings team outshot and outplayed Pittsburgh last night.
The difference was the incredible job Fluery did in goal for the Penguins
If not for him it would have been blowout. The level of hockey today from my day rooting on Orr,Esposito,Cashman, and the Bruins is lightyears different. These guys today are amazing to watch. The speed and finesse man they are intense.
Great stuff!!

Well said. There is nothing like postseason NHL hockey. Nothing compares. The speed of the game is unbeleivable. The intensity is insane. The physicality is brutal.

With all due respect HP, spoken like someone who's never skated with a stick in thier hand. There are plenty of traditional reasons why people say that fighting has its place in hockey, wich it certainly does. But my theory is that the level of intensity is so much higher than any other sport, and the inherent physical play combined with the pestering defensive play and the checking, the players are really only a fraction of an inch away from blowing their lid and retaliating and starting a fight at any given time. Half the time you're out there you're thinking, "knock it the f@*k off and let me skate with the puck"!

There's nothing sweeter than a classic hip check.

Its by far the most demanding skill based sport there is. And make no mistake about it, its a battle. Those who whine about the fighting obviously don't get it. And thats ok.

Sweet vid. =D>
