that's a shame. that is one terrifying weapon. I wasn't in the military. I do recall watching footage from the first Iraq war where one of our boys was firing a 50 cal. into a mud brick wall pinning down a bunch of "soldiers", it was just chewing up that wall. The camera man had a pretty good angle on the shot. Those guys were folded into a fetal position behind the wall heh heh heh.
'89 Astro, 4.3L, TBI. Minor intake and exhaust mods. Rebuilt 700R4 trans (by me). Corvette servo, 0.5" boost valve, police grade 1-2 accumulator spring (shifts fast and solid). B&M stacked plate trans cooler. Bilstein shocks. Belltech sway bars front and back. New head unit, speakers and subwoofer. Needs paint and a new headliner.

Well its a great weapon and if they can make it better then fine . I have carried one of them on many occasions and they are heavy as can be.
But then again our M1 Tanks are one of the heaviest tanks in the world and its never been beat in the yearly tank trial competitions.

Don't sweat it, Squid... the fools at the Puzzle Palace made the move to the 9mm also, and found out it sucked & the trusty .45ACP was called back to active duty in many units. At least those that fly 'real' aircraft.

Another piece of history gone. Unreal how long it's been around. I never fired one, was on an M60 crew for a good while and got tired of all the cleaning so jumped on an M79 launcher. 5 minutes to clean. Love that weapon. The sound always reminded me of one of those ping pong ball shooting plastic guns for kids.
