Well folks-I might be off line for sometime.Depends on how long it takes to set up the newer computer I bought.Windows XP is what I got.

You know leaving this old computer is like leaving a old dog behind.It has done nothing but take care of me all these yrs.Yeah has been a old friend for sure.

Well I made it back.Going to take some getting used to with this format.Heck,I might be able to even watch video's now.Look out my space-LOL.

Hey I got the pictures downloaded to the computer-but I can't get it to transfer to photobucket.It just runs and runs.Now what????.

tell me the size of one of your picture files- I bet they are huge.

THey need to be made smaller in file size befre you upload them to photobucket.

Your camera may be taking a picture that is 2-3 MB- it can be resized to be 100-200 KB

if you right click on the file for the picture , you should see an option to resize it.

Gary also remember to crop & adjust your pix first, then resize when you're all done editing.

Yes you are right Scotts.The file size is 2.23mb.Tried to make the file size smaller.Can you run that by me again.

Ok I wil try not to leave anything out -I assume your version of windows works like this only you will know for sure

right click your start button

go to explore

locate your picture -left click on the my documents ( I asume this is where you have it ) in the ladder on the left - the files in that folder wil appear in the big window on the right , but also the folder will explode in the left window to show the folders contained - keep left clickng on folders ( my pictures probably) untilk your list of pics shows in the big window

RIGHT click on the picture you want to resize

a window with a list of options should come up (print , open etc )

ne of those options is ":resize"

left click on resize

pick the size you want in the window
-left click ok
Windows will resize it

go back to your explorer view , may hae to go back to my pictures again and back into the flder so it refeshed the new nfo- you will see your picture is now about a jillion times smalle and can be uploaded much faster

If you don't have a resize option in your menu , you will have to download a program called MIHOV image resizer , is free just google it - it s somehwat similar and easy to use

hope this helps , its hard to explain computer stuf without being able to point and show, and I dont know what your level of knowledge is
