why do i get this É instead of a question mark

i just got a new computer/keyboard/monitor and i get these é when i type apostriphie(sp) and other keys. im extremely computer ilitterate. :D

Hit & hold down the shift key followed by the control key. Let go. Problem fixed.

Petey, did you get paid by Emergency Medical Technicians? Or does my Yankee brain also translate EMT to be Electronic Money Transfer? You know I just had to ask!!
