How is everyone doing?

Post by phr1$k37 »

Hi folks!

So I am guilty as charged for not tuning into the ASV family for a while. I think almost 4 months now. Been that busy and swamped with things to do as well people to care for.

I posted a while back I would catch up but even that day I had an unexpected call to help another family out.

So how is everyone doing? I see quite a few of you are still very active and I am very glad to see!

Princess has been doing well. She is not giving me much troubles. In fact I recently took out my HIR bulbs for the lo-beam and put in after-market HIDs 4300K. They are WAY too white for my liking but they sure do throw out a lot of light! BTW readers, it is not correct and rather unsafe to retro-fit HIDs into non-OEM projector (not even reflectors ... ) and is illegal to use on-road. But I did it because I barely use my lo-beams in city because I have KC 775 mounted which are legal for on-road use and have a nice cut-off beam that does not glare oncoming traffic. The HIDs are like staring into the sunlight for oncoming cars and with my lift it is not nice. I am looking to purchase projectors to see if I can get more light spread compared to stock reflectors.

My dog Chloe is almost 1 year old now. She almost jumped into the mighty Fraser river yesterday morning at 0530 when I was out taking some sunrise photos. Boxer's are like that - crazy playful dogs. She brought home a few fresh caught rodents already :p

Me I am still sane. Just whacked busy with life and trying to balance it all. My GF is amazingly understanding and actually is probably even more busy then I as she is keeping up with me in life and yet still schooling (I work).

Here a photo I took on a "relaxing" on a sick day last Monday hah ha:

Good to hear from ya, Phrisk. I figured you were very busy with life, I certainly know how that goes.

I haven't seen my flat water racing friends in the last few years and they coment that I have fallen off the face of the earth; actually, I'm just more heavily involved in other aspects of life that don't involve them, thats all. Still just as busy, but not in the same exact circles.

Hi Steve and Tom!
Thanks for the thoughts!
Yes Tom I know what you mean in terms of areas of life - but hey at least I wrote you an email haha. I still need to go some expeditions with you though your rig is WAY better than mine but Princess can still hang in mild-medium grunt. Yes I am REALLY thinking of the S/Cing her .. since I dont have the skills to do V8. :D

Hey Abe glad to see your still alive. O:)

I finally got Sanj into RC rock crawling again so now you need to get one and come out and play one weekend. You could even mod the wheely king to crawl.

Although I probably have more ICBC claims then all the Canadians on this forum, Mr Crash is still still your name. So I am indeed still alive. How is your inferno!? I striped my gears off my Tamiya with the a 5900kV motor and the LiPo. :(

But Kev is sooo funny! I am sure by now you should have videos of him getting his Axial in some pickle situations. And if not him his son for sure!

Should I convert the WK to a crawler? It is quite a bit of as it is right now w/ open diffs ^_^

lock in the rear diff and put in a 45 or 55 turn motor and remove the cross braces on the rear axle so it flexes more and you should be able to crawl fairly well. The motors are only around 20-25 bucks.
