It's been a while since I posted on here, and nothing new has happened on the van. Just been waiting about 8 months for the rest of the bodyparts I dropped off to get painted by my friend (Carbon Fiber hood, side skirts, and cats eye grill). So over the last few months I have gotten a few new projects under my belt. 1. Finished building my workshop 2. Finished building a 1979 Motobecane 3. Bought a 1971 Morris Mini from Great Britain. These things have kept me plenty busy, here is some pictures:
My new workshop
1979 Motobecane, I made the gas tank, exhaust, headlight, taillight, new carb, intake, semi-slick tires, painted flat black, and finished off with red pinstripes.
1971 Morris Mini, 1275 Motor, 4 speed, new carb, stainless steel exhaust, 13x7" rims, 5 gallon fuel tank! I have a roll cage on its way with a lot of other goodies. This picture was taken last weekend at Skyline Drive in VA.
Parked next to a new Mini Cooper
That's it folks, been keeping busy. Hopefully next spring I will get back on the van once the body stuff is taken care of. -J

Wow, you don't realize how small the Mini is until it is parked next to the New Mini!
Very cool!

The Morris mini is 1000 times cooler looking than the ( overly bloated price tagged ) mini cooper.

Re: My new projects
Sweet Mini I know a guy with 2 he is selling one mainly for parts otherwise i would buy it but frame is so rotted it is not worth fixing. His other one is sweet engine is bored out, 5pt harness, also put in a chip so he can adjust everything real easy, he took it to the track for fun one day and could not keep up with any of the faster cars but would smoke them in the corners, when you can go into the turns in 4th while everyone else is down shifting that is the only time it could gain on others. anyway sweet car

Re: My new projects
Thanks guys, the mini has been really the coolest car I've owned thus far. I have a bunch of stuff that is arriving today. I have a full cage I'm going to weld in tomorrow night, quick shift kit, halogen headlight conversion, and a bunch of other nic-nacks. I stripped the interior out last week and dynamated the entire shell. Funny the car is close to 4ft wide, I think it could fit inside of the van.
