mileage reset

Post by lukyboy »

Hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum, having just bought a 2000 astro rwd lt. I just ordered an owner's manual on eBay, so hopefully some of my questions will be answered as I read that, but I'm wondering if there's any way to reset the overhead display for average mpg, gallons used, and average mph. Also, I'm trying to find pix of different wheel styles on my era of Astro to find out what would look really sharp without looking too trucky. I have looked at the members pix, and there are a few wheel combos that look real nice, including one with Impala SS wheels that might work for me. I've also seen on eBay a set of 16" IROC-style wheel with Kumho tires that look pretty sharp. As I said, I don't want it to look too trucky, but I also don't want to look too low-rider, wife-beater, white-trash, or El Camino-ish. Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

to reset you hold both buttons at the same time like when you are on avg mpg screen there are a few other ones it will work on just hold both of the buttons till it resets.

I tried holding both buttons (on mine they are mode and E/M) and nothing happens, so either mine is faulty, there is a difference between 99 and 2000 (yeah, right) or I'm not doing it right. I've only had this van a few days, but the average mph, average mpg, and I think even the gallons used have all stayed the same, so that sounds a little fishy. The instant mpg works though.

you have to make sure you are on the avg mph, fuel used, or average economy. It should light up all of the lines and be reset. if that doesn't work you need help from someone besides me. sorry
