I'M BACK!!!

Post by NYCvibe »

...though I clearly don't belong here now, do I?

Anyway, just wanted to touch base with you guys and let y'all know what I've been up to the last few months...

I guess I can always start an alternate Express site, eh?

Wow, no doubt you have the 'van bug'!

Sorry to see it isn't an Astro/Safari, but the 6.0L is redeeming...

Welcome back.

Definitely easier to parrallel park the Astro but trust me, once you can handle the Astro/Safari, this (or the Savana) is a breeze. Also, see that mirror sticking out the back window? HUGE HELP! It's when I jump into the Corolla for a quick run to the store that I realize just how huge this is. I almost always over-steer the Toyota when switching parking spots.

However, with the Express I can load way more DJ gear and do events with like a million more party-goers (which translates to more $$$ for me!). I used to have to do 2 trips with the old Astro whenever I got a call to do large gigs but with this beast, I just need one shot with room to spare for groupies and all that. Hahahaha!!!

Another thing is that these are designed to run on 87 octane fuel wherever you are so the cheaper gas price cancels out the slightly less gas mileage. In the end, I spend about the same amount at the pump as I did with the Astro (which at sea-level here in NYC plus all that DJ gear in the back required 89 or 92 octane) Plus, no room for groupies in the back - hehehehe. Ok, I'm just kidding with the whole groupie thing...
