Overhead Console

Post by HPbyStan »

What controls the overhead console in a '98 Astro? My temp has always been about 3-4 degrees too warm. I changed the sender when I had the grille off installing the transmission cooler to no avail. Last week the display went nuts and shut off all together. I installed another console last night and the temp is STILL 3-4 degrees too high and this compass is off about one click. I did what the distruction manual said to do but it didn't change anything. I'd give up and buy a new vehicle but did you know GM doesn't sell a dark metalic green anything any more. No wonder they are going broke.

It might just be being affected by the engine heat.

The control board for it is the PCB the display is attached to.

I've find the one in my 98 safari to only be 1 degree too warm.................. maybe that's it it's because mine is a more regal safari whereas you have the trailer park astro :yawinkle: :muhaha: :muhaha:
