REALLY Stupid Accident

Post by CaptSquid »

Just on our late news:

A man walked into the side of a train (boxcar), not far from where I live. The scene is also not far from the Men's Shelter. The police say his injuries were minimal, but they also suspect that the man had been communing for a long time with John Barleycorn. :yikes:

Can say that for pretty much any train related accident.

We had one near Chicago a few years back that pissed me off and made national news. A school bus driver got caught on the tracks by traffic and let the bus get hit by a train. Killed several kids. Um, hello. School buses are heavy and have a nice low 1st gear and low rear diff. Push the cars in front of you out of the way idiot. A small pileup beats dead kids any day.

We just had another one here. Three kids. Drove around the crossing gate in an effort to beat the train. Two of the three are dead. [-X

A friend of mine is a train engineer in WA. He tells me there are two types of engineers those that have hit someone and those who haven't yet.

the guy had to have been doped up on something more than :drinkers:
I got caught by traffic on tracks with no crossing arms once, had both my kids in my truck. looked to my right and a train was coming, and I mean close. Laid on my horn to get the cars in front to inch forward. cleared the guys rear bumper by an inch as I gunned it off into the grass. I take a very long look left and right when I come to tracks now.
